With you at the happiest times…

Whether you are resident in Spain or just dream of celebrating your wedding on Spain´s beautiful Costa Blanca, Reverend Steven would be delighted to conduct the ceremony.

Imagine saying “I do” under a beautiful sunset or in any one of the beautiful settings that the Costa Blanca offers.  We make no charge for our wedding celebrations and work with you to bring together the most beautiful ceremony that aligns with your beliefs and your ideal format.

As well as weddings and blessings for newly weds we would also be honoured to conduct a ceremony or reiteration or renewal of vows – perhaps at an anniversary or after a difficult time.

God is Love and Love is Love…

Spain was one of the first countries to legalise same sex marriages and Reverend Steven is a firm believer that God created us all perfect in his eyes which is why we would be honoured to officiate the ceremony and give God´s blessing to your marriage – man to woman, man to man or woman to woman.

And it goes without saying that reaching beyond the simplicities of sexuality, we also make no distinguishment regardless of gender so in the eyes of the Costa Blanca English Church, however you identify if how we identify you and how we believe God made you and it is our honour and privilege to celebrate with you and give blessing to your love and relationship.

It´s important to point out that whilst we conduct the religious (or less religious aspect if you prefer) of weddings, in Spain the law only allows certain religious dominations to marry couples without the need for a civil legalisation.  This applies regardless of the gender, sexual orientation or any other aspect of the relationship. But the solution is simple…

A civil formalisation of the wedding can be organised with the registrar, town hall or judge and this is the way that so many have married in Spain, especially those who do not follow, for example the catholic religion.

Please contact us for further information but usually, as long as the requirements are met, most couples feel that the ceremony and blessing before God is the important part that seals their matrimony.

With this in mind, if a couple require their marriage to be legalised rather than just a blessing before God and their friends and family, the standard structure would be to organise a civil signing of the paperwork to “legally register” the marriage, either the same day or the day before or after the actual religious ceremony.

This needs to be planned in advance and we would be delighted to guide you through the process.

Welcoming life to Gods family…

If you are lucky enough to have recently welcomed or soon to welcome a new addition to the family then we would be honoured to bless your child with a Christening or Baptism.

If you are not of any particular religious persuasion but feel it is appropriate then you are welcome – we don´t discriminate.  Likewise, if you feel you want to give your new child a Christian blessing but not through the normal channels (where in many churches they may require certain comitments from the parents), then we still welcome you.

We would be honoured to bless your new life with a religious or more contemporary blessing, christening or traditional baptism.
