Embracing a Love Without Limits: Everyone Belongs

We believe in a simple but powerful truth: God’s love knows no borders, no labels, and no limits. Yet, many of us have been told we need to fit a certain mold to belong. Maybe you’ve felt that pressure too. Maybe you’ve wondered, Is there really a place for me in a faith community?

The answer is yes. There’s a place for you here—just as you are.

Reverend Steven Writes from the Pulpit

We Are All One in God’s Love

One of my favourite verses in the Bible is from Galatians 3:28. It says, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

For me, that verse paints a beautiful picture of God’s inclusive love. It reminds us that human categories—nationality, gender, status—are not barriers to God. God looks at us and sees beloved children, not labels.

And that’s how we want to see each other too. You are not just tolerated here. You are celebrated.

Jesus Welcomed Those Left Out

When we look at the life of Jesus, we see him continually reaching out to those who were pushed aside—the tax collectors, the sick, the foreigners, the women who were silenced, and so many others. He sat at their tables. He heard their stories. He called them beloved.

If you’ve ever felt left out or unseen, Jesus understands. And more importantly, he makes space for you.

Creating a Community Where Everyone Belongs

At Costa Blanca English Church we are striving to build the kind of community Jesus modelled—a place where everyone finds belonging, no matter their background or beliefs.

We are an open and affirming church. That means LGBTQ+ folks are welcomed and affirmed here. Expats looking for home, retirees entering a new chapter, spiritual seekers exploring faith for the first time—you belong.

Our community includes people from all walks of life. Some of us have been deeply hurt by religion. Others are just now finding faith. No matter your story, you are part of our story.

My Story (Maybe You’ll See Yourself in It)

I remember a time in my own life when I wondered if I would ever find a place to belong. I’d been searching for a church that didn’t just preach about love but practiced it. And I found it in a small, welcoming community that opened its doors and arms to me.

That experience changed everything. It’s why I’m so passionate about creating that same space for others today.

You Are Welcome Here

So if you’re wondering whether there’s a place for you, hear this:

There is.

Whether you’ve called Costa Blanca home for years, or you’ve just arrived, there’s a seat for you at our table. Whether you’re joining us online from across the world, or in person, you are family here.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You only need a heart that’s open to explore.

Whenever you’re ready, we’re here.
